INFORMATION ABOUT COOKIES
Due to the entry into force of the reference modification of the “Law of the Information Society Services” (LSSICE) established by Royal Decree 13/2012, it is mandatory to obtain the express consent of the user of any web pages which use dispensable cookies, before the user browses them.
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies and other similar technologies such as local shared objects, flash cookies and pixels, are tools used by Web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, as well as to offer proper functioning of the website. By using these devices, the Web server is allowed to remember some data about the user, such as their preferences for viewing that server’s pages, name and password, products which most interest them, etc.
COOKIES AFFECTED BY THE REGULATIONS AND EXEMPT COOKIES
According to the EU directive, cookies which require informed consent from the user are analytical cookies and advertising and affiliation cookies, excepting those of a technical nature and those required for the website’s operation or the provision of services expressly requested by the user.
WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES ARE THERE?
There are five large groups of types of cookies:
- Analytic cookies: collect information on the use made of the website.
- Social cookies: are necessary for external social networks.
- Affiliate cookies: allow visits coming from other websites to be tracked, with which the website establishes an affiliation contract (affiliate companies).
- Advertising and behaviour cookies: gather information about the user’s preferences and personal choices (retargeting).
- Technical and functional cookies: are those strictly necessary for website use and delivery of the contracted service.
COOKIES USED ON THIS WEBSITE
List the names of cookies, type, owner, function and expiry, for example:
- PHPSESSID: technical and strictly necessary cookie which contains the session identifier. Removed when the browser is closed.
- _land: technical and strictly necessary cookie which contains the session language. Removed when the browser is closed.
- ac_cookies: technical and strictly necessary cookie which contains the value of whether the installation of cookies has been accepted. Expires 1 year after the last update.
- _ga: Google Analytics cookie which enables the control of unique visits function. This cookie will be installed the first time the user enters the website through a browser. When this user accesses the website again with the same browser, the cookie will consider it to be the same user. Only in the event that the user changes their browser will they be considered as another user. Expires 2 years after the last update.
- _gat: This cookie is associated with Google Analytics Universal. It’s used to limit the request speed, limiting the collection of data on high-traffic sites. Expires after 10 minutes.
- _utma: Google Analytics cookie which records the date of the first visit and the last time the user visited the website. Expires 2 years after the last update.
- _utmb: Google Analytics cookie which records the time of arrival at the webpage. Expires 30 minutes after the last update.
- _utmc: Google Analytics cookie used for interoperability with the tracking code urchin.js. Removed when the browser is closed.
- _utmt: Google Analytics cookie. This cookie is used to process the type of request made by the user. Expires when closing the session.
- _utmv: Google Analytics cookie. This cookie is used to segment demographic data. Expires when closing the session.
- _utmz: Google Analytics cookie which stores the traffic source or a campaign to explain how the user arrived at the website. Expires 6 months after the last update.

HOW TO DELETE BROWSER COOKIES
Chrome
- Select the Tools icon
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Show Advanced Options.
- In the “Privacy” section click on content Settings.
- Remove cookies: Click on All cookies and the site details…
- Do not allow cookies to be stored.
- Click on Delete browsing data (empty the cache).
- Close and restart the browser.

Internet Explorer. Version 11
- Select Tools | Internet Options.
- Click on the General tab.
- In the “Browsing history”, click on Delete browsing history upon exit.
- Select Delete files.
- Select Delete cookies.
- Click Delete.
- Click Accept.

Firefox. Version 18
- Select Firefox | History | Clear recent history.
- At the side of “Details”, click on the down arrow.
- Select the following checkboxes: Cookies, Cache, Active logins
- Using the “Time interval to delete” on the dropdown menu, select All.
- Now click on Delete.

- Select the Safari icon / Edit | Restore Safari.
- Select the following checkboxes: Delete history, Remove all website data
- Click on Restore.
